I wouldn't say the first , when speaking of BlackHeart Warriors, but InI definetly keep true to the oriJAHnal blueprints set forth by Shaka, Aba Shanti, Iration Steppers, etc. In sd, sounds like Destiny Roots and RAM Jam were the only ones bringing scoops and preamps to the session...InI just keep trodition and we just don't have to bow to the bars and clubs and their horrible p.a.'s and blown speakers.... we load up the uhaul and bring it. Some man bring records and computers and call themselves a soundsystem, while others bring the scoops, preamps, sirens, acetates and specials, and truly live it...
I will add some artists that I had the privelage of hosting at Trade Roots Reggae..
Kiddus I, Ken Bob, Lloyd Hemmings, Bongo Herman, Cornell Campbell, Yami Bolo... Dub Judah as well...
