Lucky escape for Dub Vendor?

Post by Rob Strictly-Rockers »

Just seen the news footage of the shop next door to Dub Vendor in Lavendar Hill being burnt out in the looting last night. Hopefully the fire didn't spread next door. Anyone local know whether DV escaped without damage?

I've been a regular customer of Dub Vendor, by mail and in person because I used to deliver to Debenhams opposite from Dub Vendor and would frequent while on my lunch break.. I was remarking to my family that it seems to have escaped any structual damage. But trust me, the heat that came forth from the shop blaze next door will not have done the vinyls and cd's any good. Infact, the cd's are stacked on that side of the blaze.

Vendor all OK, a little water damage to a very small amount of stock in the basement, that's all. Shop open for business tomorrow - hopefully - website still up and running.

That's staggering Lol. I think we all figured there would just be pile of melted vinyl.

I don't get the "LOL"...way overused and not funny anyway. Glad there appears to be little damage, it's a great shop.

Lol is the name of the manager of Dub Vendor mail order and the message above was probably addressed to him at a guess....

OK - my bad! I'm obviously a bit overly-sensitive I suppose! Thanks for the clarification

Hi all, I can confirm that Dub Vender are back in business, i.e. they've been allowed back into the shop to inspect and clean up. However, the phone system is down and the only way of communication at the moment is by e-mail
