me would say that 99 % of all di great artist did die....I-Wayne is not to compare to di great tosh seen? or to di great U-Roy, Dennis Brown. Ok Dennis Brown in his later years did a some mickeymousemusic business...but his 70ies and early 80ies were straight...seen. I have come to know that some of yu guys like some of dat modern roots business..fe example jah cure and morgan heritage...although some of morgan heritage sounds okay to me...me wouldnt spend a dime for it. seen....look what a sad development michael rose made. he was a great live artist remember black uhuru...damnnnnn..but know most of the albums you just here im seh stannniiiinnnanniaaannnnniii natichi nnahhahnana stanni oh..Me nuh inna dem ting deh

An wha dem ting deh weh dem man deh jus a likkle supm widdeh stylea and blibbidi bang dong ribbit in a roots man vibe of jah InIquity since all a deh yute dem jus' a ribbit be bong widdeh skeng dem? Seen? Seen!

... you're making a fool of yourself. Just drop the topic. DEB did really great stuff up to the very end of his career. Michael Rose is still incredible (his releases for Twilight Circus for an example has him in as good style as his earlier efforts). I-Wayne might not be comparable to Peter Tosh and a lot of fantastic artist might not be comparable to even more fantastic ones (if there is a objective way of seeing it like that) but I'd much rather listen to I-Waynes best singles that the later crappy releases of Tosh. Nobody is trying to make you spend a dime on anything you don't want. In the same way you should be trying to push your incredible awkward »orthodox« roots mentality on others that simply don't share it and are comfortable with the fact that they listen to music based on whether they like it or not (rather than the date it was released).

@jahlionyouth
What's with the accent, me bredren? ;)
Other topics you've been participating in, you seem to write proper (enough) English and here you try and impress us with what looks like Patois.
Drop the bullshit and keep it real.

wha gwan bredren...why yu diss me? because I and I love di Roots..yeah and by the way my grandpa was jamaican...ok ok dis ribbit and so on..is it something desirable? of course not...it did stop in the mid 80ies..just a fashion...but look di great singers like burning spear and culture how straight they were...michael rose has gone long way tooo far for rooman seekalittle but it is of course betta dan di I Wayne stuff..Or Jah Cure....A bredren used to mek sume joke about him ...im see..im no jah cure..im jah sickness...before you diss me...these are nuh my words..they from a bredren.seen? If i would give you a choice..you could chose if Prince Far I would be living and I Wayne would die..you wuld choose di Prince Far I to live...Because Prince Far I is straight...and look at Garnet Silk..everybody is saying "yeah im revive dat roots business" but when me here him sing. I hate his voice..and I hate his style...Where are di instruments??? sick sound is it..

and you see nobody is trying fe I to spend a dime....dat shows dat you have no Idea about di business..of course deh want me to pay...All a dem want money...or why de selling dese tapes mon...Dem sell fee di money and of course dem want I and I blood dunza too.

I'm starting to think more and more that you're just trying to wind us up. Did a search on your previous posts (after having read R-A's comment) and noticed a post of yours where you refer to Luciano and Jah Cure as your favourite up and coming roots artists and others posts bigging up Buju Banton, Richie Spice, 10 Ft. Ganja Plant and Everton Blender. But my favourite post of all your posts is this one:

*ok i understand keep listening to reggae and hate every other taste..**and if someone doesn't have your taste you start to diss him..that's a way of living, but not mine**.*
:D

Otherwise I think your comment about deciding on what artist should live and not depending on their music to be deeply disturbing.

I have always wondered is it possible to naturally type with an accent ? Or is it forced ? I do find it interesting from a linguistic study point of view.

Yes well, we all know you're grandpa was Jamaican. You made that very clear. Doesn't by far make you one, does it?! It's just a little weird that you, like I mentioned in my previous post, keep switching between English and what you call Patois. Seems more like a fashion thing to me, the way you use it. Anyway, that's on the topic of your Patois.
I'm sure you're Grandpa wouldn't be very proud at all, if he would hear the slackness you spout (pardon me Patois).

You should spend some time in Jamaica to start with. That might change your ways and possibly your views on modern reggae and Jamaican people in general.

Now go stand in the corner!!

@JLY, how in the world did you come up with that 'which artist should live' thing? Just remember that 'one man's spice is another man's poison', so please respect others choices as they respect yours, maybe!
