Does anyone have any information or background please about this Culture 12" on the Joe Gibbs label. It is one of my favourite Culture 12s but doesn't seem to appear in any of the discographies. Anyone know why?
Culture(with DJ I Roy) 12" 1979 "Calling Rasta For I/River Jordan"
B side is Joe Gibbs & The Professionals "Jah Telephone"

I thought I had all Culture´s Joe Gibbs-recordings - but this is unknown to me.
Maybe it´s extremly rare?
Is there somewhere to listen to it?

Yes, indeed, I have it too on a Joe Gibbs 12" as stated above. Wish I could add some info, but I can't find any reference to it anywhere as well. Killer track!Rob Strictly-Rockers wrote:Does anyone have any information or background please about this Culture 12" on the Joe Gibbs label. I think it is exteremely rare. The only web reference I ever saw was here:
http://www.midnightdread.com/midnight2.html
It was on a playlist for a Midnight Dread broadcast back in the 90s. I bought Midnight Dread's copy and previously I had only ever heard of one other copy and that was on ebay earlier this year but it was withdrawn after a day, presumably because someone offered to "buy it now" for a lot of money.
Jah love has a copy so that makes 3 that I now know of but I'm sure there must be some others out there. I agree with Jah Love it is a killer. My only disappointment is that the dub cut on the flip side "Jah Telephone" has quite a lot of I Roy's voice left in and I would have preferred a straight through dub of the rhythm as well (maybe I'm too fussy!).
