Ska authentic album confusion
Greetings. I have a question over a song from the album Ska Authentic Vol 1 (16 tracks).
On my album it says (for track 11) 'Scrap Iron' but on another album, I have the same song as 'Feeling Good'.
In the 2 following links for the same album there are 2 different samples for the same song (11 Scrap Iron):
http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/a ... 25,00.html
http://www.ebreggae.com/Reggae/CD/5350/ ... ume-1.html
Which one is the correct one? Mine is the second.
Thanx a lot

According to http://downbeat-special.co.uk/skaauthentic3.html it's "Feeling Good".

On youtube Roland Alphonso's 'Feeling Good' is a different tune altogether than the one I have as 'scrap iron'. It appears to be a confusion over this track. We have 2 sources that mention the 11th track as 'Scrap Iron' but are different between them, and a third source that says it's should be 'Feeling Good'.
Which one should I believe?

I would trust Rob Chapman (creator of downbeat-special), he's a long time Studio 1 expert. You can always email him and ask about it as well, I'm sure he'd be happy to look into it.

Thank you ReggaeFire. I couldn't find any contact details from R. Chapman on downbeat-special. It makes sense that the tune is 'Feeling Good' coz, as I said, I have it on another album and it's called 'Feeling Good'. So at the moment I'll stick to that.

The real "Scrap Iron" is on the original version of "In Memory of Don Drummond" I think...

There are 2 almost completely different versions (only 3 tracks in common) but with the same front cover, the original vinyl issue has "Scrap Iron" as track 2 on side one.

PS the full track listing on the original issue is
side 1 1. Green Island 2. Scrap Iron 3. Man In The Street 4. This Man Is Back 5. Royal Flush 6. Reload
side 2 1. Far East 2. Sudden Attack 3. Wake The Town 4. Johnney Dark 5. Look Through The Window 6. Addis-aba-ba
Absolutely brilliant album!

Re: Ska authentic album confusion
That's a different tune than any of the 2 of the links on my first post of this thread. But I also believe that this is the original "scrap iron" and it's just a type error on the CDs. They should probably write 'Feeling Good'.
However, I acquired the album "In Memory of Don Drummond" and it's really good. Thanks to Return of Jesco.
