I played on some songs for I-Word at Tuff Gong in the early 80s with Family Man producing, probably in 1982. I overdubbed my parts but I believe the rhythm tracks were played by Fams, Carly, Tyrone, and Wia. Can't remember if I played rhythm guitar or just lead. Also can't remember any song titles.

Hi Andy,
nice to see a prominent musician visiting here and giving information that elsewhere would be lost.
Are we talking about the same people otherwise known as 'Iwa and the Sons of Solomon'?
They made a fine album around that time you remember recording for them, the one I know was called "Queen Shaba".

No that is a very different record. Mr Bassford is right.Bellyman wrote:Hi Andy,

I-word and the sound of creation. Healing Voice records LP. An expensive collectors item these days.

It is a cool album - it was re-released as a double CD (decent sound quality, many many bonus tracks) in the 90ies.
The original LP is a fine roots item - worth a listen.
And of course IWA (Queen Sheba) is another artist, but also a great record!

we are making some confusion here... the album of the title is not the same one rasralo and roots archives are talking about... it's called RIDE THE RHYTHM, i saw it sometimes on ebay but never had the chance to listen to it....
...sorry for my average english !! ;P
