Kalcidis,
I was doing a search for puddy roots as bunny lion. there is a sound tape of Arrows at Kelvinator Lawn, Fleet Street, Kingston, circa 1977. But he goes by the name Puddy Lion. what compilation is the Barry Brown tune when he DJ's?

Well ... if you listen to the LP it doesn't really sound as he's saying Bunny Lion but rather Puddy Lion.

It's Jah Smiles on this above compilation.

Kalcidis,
That really is Barry Brown as Jah Smiles, isn't it? It sure does sound like him, just asking because I just wanted to make sure. Do you know what compilations or singles that Puddy Roots went by the name Puddy Lion? Just wanted to give thanks to Kalcidis. you really informative, as well as the others that have replied to my topic.

Nilo82 respect.
I always had a couple Pupa Honey tunes, but never thought that he was in fact sugar minott. should have figured since he reference his as Papa Honey to Sugar.

Clive Field Marshall is Clive Hunt.

And then there was a really slack deejay album by a singer turned slack chatter. Can't remember the title of the nor the deejay though. I have it written down at home though so when I return in a couple of days I will be able to check it up. The artist name is very reminiscent of Ranking Slackness (perhaps something like Slackest General -- obviously influenced by General Echo) and the cover was painting with a red background with a black male and white woman or something.

Jah Mel on the brilliant (and recently reissued) Sinking Sand and also on another Andy's 12" of his. Nice style.

Al Campbell chats a little on a Bebo 12" I have if I remember correctly. Can't remember title though. There's a nice live clip where Michael Palmer deejays a little over his String Up the Sound System. Really cool style. Junior Reid even incorporates the fast chat style for a line or two on Boom-Shack-A-Lack.

Pablo Gad and Lion Youth of course.

There are really too many to mention. I have a sound tape where Frankie Paul chats ... really weak stuff though.
