can someone nlight me who sing orginal song island in the sun.i have listen some artits such as lord tanamo,the paragons and harry belafonte the sing the song.

Island in the sun most of the time is credited to Harry Belafonte. But, around that time, there were more singers/groups who sang that song. Due to the fact that there wasn't much recording of artists going on in JA at the time, but a lot of groups playing the song for tourist audiences, it is quite impossible to say who originally wrote and performed it.
Harry Belafonte probably is the first one to get this song noticed by a big (international) audience.
