gregory isaacs belt?

does anyone know why Gregory Isaacs always wore his belt open?

That was the style back in the late 70s, but mores in the early to mid 80s. it was accompanied with only the collar buttoned and the rest unbuttoned exposing the mariner, then sporting your clark booties, pinstripe trousers and kangol. More or less it was like uncumbersome rude bwoy look. That was a style I even sport back in a the day.
