[Barrington Levy - A ya we deh](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUw6Oy2F ... re=related)

it not only features some nice rhythm guitar, but the sweetest slidings. sounds like from an higher region.

Blue Riddim Band - Restless Spirit. This LP has some very nice guitar solos and arrangements

The Now Generation - For The Good Times. There's a lot of guitar playing in this one also.

@ aabey: Hux Brown played rhythm and pick lead, etc.... on heaps of Studio One sessions as part of the Soul Vendors during the Rock Steady days and also recorded there in the later years of Ska previous to that. He played at Dynamic and Federal studios, played much of the rhythm guitar with Lynn Taitt & The Jets and after Taitt left JA for Canada he became the premier guitsy playing on loads of sessions for Clancy Eccles, Derrick Harriott, Leslie Kong and on and on ....... he played all the pick guitar on the entire "Harder They Come" soundtrack and is even in the movie. He played on and arranged Paul Simon's "Mother & Child Reunion", toured and recorded with Toots for years and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Hux legendary mi tell ya. He's still alive and playing! He's my neighbour!

If you happen to own Sticky Finfers by Chinna Smith you know solo guitar in reggae can sound great. A full lenght album with the best riddims filled up by chinna's guitar. Enjoyable album...

I would say that in reggae there are plenty of guitar "solos", they're just hard to hear, I mean they are sort of hidden. For example, listen to Noah's Ark (Eek-A-Mouse), Mind Who You Beg For Help (Culture), Duppy Or Gunman (Yellowman), There Is No End (The Abyssinians), See No Evil (Prince Jammy),... These are just a few...
