Hello,

does anyone know how the sound quality on this recently issued LP by VP is?
I heard a lot of bad things about their recent mastering skills on some albums, but I still want to get this if it's at least reasonably mastered.

I don't know if this will help, but I got the CD box that that album is in the other day, and it sounds good. I don't know if the mastering would be different for the vinyl version? I don't know enough about the process to answer that, but if it sounds like the CD I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I don't think the mastering in this case would be different on vinyl, but to be honest, I don't know enough about it either.
But it's good news that it sounds good on cd so I'm going to buy this record.

Why not get the B&F CD "Microphone Attack", it has 10 tracks on that compilation that are also on "The Observer Book of..." and only misses "Jamaican Girl".

Plus you get 8 other great Niney productions by the likes of Big Youth, U Roy, Dillinger, Trinity & Ranking Trevor.

And the sound quality is pristine.

What more could you want

Thanx for the advice, Rootsman, but I'm looking for vinyl on this one, and the Hotter Yatta LP that I really want is impossible to buy (too expensive!)
