its been years since i last heard it , but what artist did the following , main lyrics go 'this is reggae music, do not abuse it....'

thanx all particually marcus, yes it twas strictly rub a dub that has the words.now i have rummage through me collection to find it.

Hi, sorry to pick up an old thread, but i too have been searching for a track for years and years, (since i heard it back in '88, with those same lyrics, but its none of the tracks listed/mentioned above, tried them all. all i remember is the lyrics went....

strictly reggae music w-e pl-ay, a-ll day, hey

it was on a mix tape, music era 80-85, also,there's another track that had the intro...
r e g g a e and music (x2)
i wanna play some music,
roots music, some reggae music.
turn on your radio, let the music flow
hear i music,

these 2 tracks have been in my head since 88/89, i need to find them before i go insane, lol. please help someone

I am quite certain that the second track you are seeking is Jimmy Riley's "Reggae Music". It's on a Blue Mountain LP that was released mid-80's with backing by The Wailers. It's a nice set worth seeking.
