Wayne Smith - Mr. Boss Man

Was this tune ever released on a single? You can listen to it here http://www.amazon.com/gp/dmusic/media/s ... B000QOB2WA , it is featured on the Jah Children Invasion - Chapter 4 Wackies compilation. I believe there is another version, as I've heard it on a mid eighties Jack Ruby tape.

I'm pretty certain that the Jack Ruby soundtape version is a dubplate only. Just heard the Wackies-version for the first time and was really surprised. It lacks a lot of the original vibe but still nice to know it has been released in some style.

It's a Jammy's dubplate (I had one cut at his studio, and still have it), but it didn't come out on 45.

A lot of Jammy music was shelved when Sleng Teng hit the market. He had just finished laying down over a dozen new riddims with The High Times players that were never voiced, because all of a sudden they were "dated".
