The fact that it's remastered by VP makes me worry a bit, but this does look interesting, though a few of these extras were on the Pressure Sounds CD release of Brand already

I'm glad to see Broke the Comb dub on it; it always bugged me that it wasn't on Brand, since it's one of the best rhythms on Rasta Communication.

I just pre-ordered this.

I very nearly bought the standard CD version last year. I'm glad I forgot now... :)

No worries on the mastering front, picked up the 2 disc CD couple of days back and the sound quality is excellent to ears.

Yep, really good. Listening to it again as mp3 now, actually...

Does Disc 2 have the same tracks as on 'Brand', btw? I think that the track titles are the same but I haven't gotten around to comparing them directly yet myself...

Here's the difference as far as I can tell; someone correct me if I'm wrong. Brand had 4 dubs on it that weren't rhythms used on Rasta Communication: Highter Heights (Barbican), Words Dub, Leggo Dub and Bad Things Dub. I don't have a copy of Brand handy so I'm not certain about those last three, actually.
Rasta Communication had two tunes that did not have dub counterparts on Brand: Jonah and I Broke the Comb.
This release adds the dubs for Jonah and I Broke the Comb, as well as alternate dub versions of two of the songs, Bloody Eyes and Rasta Country (National Anthem dub), meaning there are two full dubs of each of those tunes. This release also places them all in RC album running order (with the two duplicates sequenced together as well). So, it's more like an actual dub version of the RC album, but most of it is just Brand in a rearranged order. BUT...I haven't compared them to see if they are all the same mixes or not. But I feel like I've thought about this long enough for now! :-)

And, indeed, sound quality is nice as Rootsman pointed out.

The dub versions on CD 2 are exactly the same mixes as on Brand. (Missing from Pressure Sounds´ 2006 Brand CD, though, are Higher Hights and the 2 bonus vocal tracks.)

New to CD on this release are Felt We Felt The Strain (12"), Bloody Eyes (12"), Rasta Country (7"), Bloody Eyes Dub (12" b-side) and I Broke The Comb Dub (unreleased?).

The 7" Jonah / Version were on Trojan´s The Hudson Affair.

To my ears the sound quality is fine, same as on the previously released CDs. (Greensleeves´ 2002 Rasta Communication, Pressure Sounds´ 2006 Brand and Trojan´s The Hudson Affair.)

Superb album it is still...:D
