Ketch Vampire - Devon Irons & Doctor Alimantado 6.58 (this is 10.10 on Open The Gate)

FALSE

Actually it is 6.44 on the "Open The Gate" compilation.

On my copy it continues to make a total of 10.10, so TRUE.

How is that possible? Vocal+DJ+dub?

I only have vocal&DJ. And it ends Doc Alimantado singing:
"I know your hearts got to be clean... (Yeah!) ...to rally round Jah red gold & green. (You know, tell yah!)"

Possibly this is better than "Open The Gate" but "Open The Gate" does have 2 classic Heptones tracks that are not on "Disco Devil"

After that there´s a short (faded up and down) return of Doc A´s end phrase, which at 7.00 turns into a dub that goes on up to 10.10. Now, this could be a dub of the original 7" of Vampire by the sound of it - I haven´t been able to compare.

Agreed, those Heptones tracks need to be properly rereleased -
but, as they were 7"s, maybe not on a collection of 12"s.
(The A sides only are on the recent "Sipple Out Deh")

Found it!
The dub part is the same as the original 7" b-side, assuming that is the version on "Arkology" (Reel 1, track 5).

So are the mixes on this compilation different to others previously put out.

ie "Norman" & "Roots Train" on the "Arkology" compilation have same running time as on "Disco Devil".

Also "from what I can see" the running time on the tracks that also appear on the "Open The Gate" set seem to be of similar length.

So are the mixes on "Disco Devil" unique to that set. Or are they the same as those previouly issued?

See my post with the timings above, especially this line:
"As far as I know, all are the regular/common mixes, but see my comments"!
