Lots of great and rare Perry tracks,
including some that are on "Sound Doctor" - where they run slower...

No speed problems with other tracks from these podcasts...Congo Bunny wrote:Surely all the one's Mick's you mention could be caused by Mick's turn table speed?

I Really like that Tinga Stewart track "Smiling Faces" just as it is. If that is awful would love to hear the version you knowCongo Bunny wrote: That Tinga record is awful, it never occurred to me it might be two slow

Same version...
If that's the case then the version on sound doctor is dramatically slower.
I haven't got round to a direct comparison, but I thought the vocal track was a bit different on the sound doctor one
Edit
I have now listened to the two experience tracks back to back and they do seem to be identical except that the Sound Doctor version is slower (I prefer it as the trombone part swings even more at a slower speed) but I'm beginning to see what people are saying about the tracks being slower, So whats the reason for this?
End Edit
Could it be that pressure sounds have made a mistake with this release?
Further Edit
I have just put that Tinga smiling faces track into some recording software and sped up the playback, and all of a sudden I have a different sounding track, it no longer sounds like he's a drunk stroke victim slurring his way through the song... I am beginning to think that pressure sounds have accidentally slowed down this whole release

@Blackarkrock: That's funny how you have those tracks via my podcasts. That's exactly why I did them!
@Congo Bunny - no, my turntable wouldn't have anything to do with the tracks on my podcasts, as these were digital recordings sent to me by other collectors.
Overall, this speed issue is strange. I haven't heard the finished version of Sound Doctor, just a promo set of MP3s from Pressure Sounds that were definitely pre-digital remastering.

I'd be interested to know if there is any difference between the cd version and the MP33
