Channel One without a doubt because alot of fantastic dub albums were recorded at Channel One and then mixed at King Tubby's.

You cant really choose between these two! Both had such an important role in the development of JA music.
Coxone Dodd and Studio One had such an important role in the creation of early reggae ( and ska & rocksteady before) that there is probably not a more important studio in the music's history. So many of the classic riddims still being used today have their origin at a Studio One Session.

Channel One played a really central role with Sly and Robbie in developing the rockers sound in the mid '70s. Yeah Jah Glu, great period for dub! Mighty Diamonds, Leroy Smart, John Holt, Dillinger all cut great stuff at Channel One

It's not either/or for me both crucial studios!

Pointless comparison - they both had their fortes in which they excelled. Studio One setting the foundation and Channel One setting the new trends for rockers era. Appreciate the both for their own merits.

I agree, can't choose between the two. However, would there have even been a Channel One without Studio One laying the groundwork?

Two very very different studios..

Studio 1 is the foundation and deserves mad respect. Dozens of famous riddims originated there, not to mention artists who got their start there.

My preference is Channel One however, because the downtempo rockers and rub a dub has always been my favorite style of reggae.
