For anyone who is interested I received this e-mail from Reggae Fever regarding the Roots Knotty Roots Website.
"Reggae Fever announces the return of RKR. Out of print for eight years, Roots Knotty Roots - The Discography Of Jamaican Music returns as an online database in partnership with Reggae Fever.
RKR is the most accurate, comprehensive discography of Jamaican singles by far. It is much larger and more accurate than former editions, with over 60,000 listings covering the years 1953-1986. There is also much more documentation about each record.
B sides are fully described, and through descriptions of rhythms, musical origins and genres you can get a much better feel for the music itself.
And of course it is a repository of matrix numbers, with over 23,000 listed, it is the best record finding tool available. RKR is fully searchable and contains a lot of information you will not find anywhere else.
You can access RKR now here:"

Re: Roots Knotty Roots
Thanks Rootsman!
This database of over 60'000 entries is certainly just what the doctor ordered for a singles collector.
Congratulations to Reggae Fever and Michael Turner for the good work. It must have taken a long time.
I've been checking the records from my collection and so far haven't found many that aren't in RKR. Doubtless there must be gaps and Michael Turner's e-mail is given for sending additions.
I'm glad that there is at last a comprehensive singles database on the Internet to go with the LP databases, such as Roots Archives.
Please excuse my not so amazing English.

Hmmm... $25 a year for a subscription? I realize that RKR was/is a LOT of work and the results are amazing, but seems like you're going to turn away a lot of people with a subscription-based service.
