Congrats!! Things have gone seriously downhill for the physical reissue market, but I'm so glad to hear that there are still people out there giving it their all!
Thanks for sticking to it!!

Every time I've played that album, I've wished there was a dub of "Like I'm Dying" on it - by far the best track IMO.

Yeah, superb rhythm that!Return of Jesco wrote:Every time I've played that album, I've wished there was a dub of "Like I'm Dying" on it - by far the best track IMO.
Other versions include:
Don't Think About Me - Horace Andy
Can You Keep A Secret - Big Youth
Melody Maker - Keith Hudson
War War - Keith Hudson (Entering The Dragon LP)
I'm Alright - Keith Hudson and Family Man (Pick A Dub LP)
This Natty Alright - Jah Woosh
Playing It Cool - Keith Hudson (Playing It Cool LP)
Playing It Cool Dub - Hudson Allstars (Playing It Cool LP)
A dub to the actual Like I´m Dying track is apparently only on the original 7"...

That 7" is one to track down - hope Santa Claus is reading this!

Congratulations on your first release. That is a great Keith Hudson album with my personal fav.'Turn the heater on.' Apparently New Order was way into that track too and did a pretty great cover on their Peel Sessions lp.
As for other suggestions I second the Viceroys, We must unite + Brethern and sistern would make a killer 2 fer. Some early Morwells (with decent sound quality) would be exciting too.
Also Erroll Dunkley's absolutely killer 'Militant Man'. I like the higgs and Wilson compilation idea but also think Joe Higgs 'Unity is Power' might be better received. Also if you look into Misty in Roots how about a compilation of their 12" releases? As much as i adore tracks like 'Poor and Needy' they are all the more essential with their killer extended dub mixes. Jammy's Natural Vibes 'Life hard a yard' and the Black Crucial lp would also be nice.
Some of Freddie Mckay's albums like 'Harsh Words' or 'Creation'.
I could go on and on....
best of luck with the label!

Very good suggestions Grasshopper! As far as I know "The Best Of Freddy McKay" is the only album of McKay released on cd ever. Natural Vibes 'Life hard a yard' and the Black Crucial lp I didn't know but I am checking them out now. Given your other suggestions I suspect they might good.
I would like to add the 2 Back Jade lp's Contempo and Rockers as a suggestion.

Nice to have a new reissue label!
According to http://www.cherryred.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=3932 ,
the tracklist is not the original,
but corresponding to the remixed Atra LP/Conqueror CD.
Is it supposed to be relased like this?
This was the original track list (Mamba LP with the cover Hot Milk uses):
Torch Of Freedom
Freedom Movements
Lost All Sense Of Direction
Jah Jah
Five More Minutes Of Your TIme
My Time
Don't Look At Me So
Turn The Heater On
So Cold Without You
Don't Let The Teardrops Fool
I Lock The Key From My Heart
Like I'm Dying

According to this site, it's the Atra one that came first and the Mamba one was the re-issue. So if one was re-mixed, it's got to be the Mamba one.....

Chaz:
The info here on Roots Archives on this album is wrong.
The first press was the Mamba LP, with the tracklisting above.
This is confirmed by the superb DVD ROM Keith Hudson An Illustrated Discography by Vincent Ellis and Jean Scrivener.
The Atra LP and Conqueror CD (I`ve got both of these myself) have the remixed and alternate track list as on the Hot Milk release. What makes it more confusing is that Hot Milk uses the original Mamba cover, but with the remixed/alternate track list!

A few more ideas for MellowMan to consider...
Prince Far I - Livity
Prince Far I & Friends - Ram Packed Showcase In A Suitcase
Prince Far I - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter 2
Prince Far I - Cry Tuff Dub Encounter 4
Tracks from these releases are/have been available across various compilations - but AFAIK, they've never been released on CD individually and in their entirety before.

I would love to see a Culture One Stone / Stoned reissue on chunky vinyl.
