Apart from the obvious ones like Hugh Mundell's and Pablo's "Africa must be free..." or Horace Andy's "In the light" (both readily available in various formats) there are really only very few albums that match.
I would go for New Breed "Tribulation Time" paired with "Tribulation Dub" by Fatman Riddim Section but a real gem would be Joy White's "Sentimental Reasons" along with "Sentimental Dub" both from Donovan Germain in his prime.
rougher yet

Also nice are singles compilations which include both sides.

Thanks for your reply on the other thread Mellowman re formats.

More questions for you, is the cd going to be double price as its a double album or is it going to be the same price as torch of freedom?

Are the vocals and dubs separate tracks or have they been mixed into fake disco mixes?

Thanks

On 29 April, we will be releasing The Mighty Diamonds "Planet Earth" and "Planet Mars Dub".

Rather than put one album followed by the other on this disc, we have sequenced it so each vocal tune from "Planet Earth" is directly followed by its' dub version from "Planet Mars Dub". This will give listeners the chance to hear the vocals and dubs back to back to create a kind of 12" discomix vibe.

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we have been.

74 minutes of sweet harmonies from the Mighty Diamonds on one CD.
Sweet. Will be getting this one for sure...

I nearly bought the Planet Mars Dub CD - used and for too much money a few weeks ago. I'm pleased that I didn't now... :)

You know what would be really cool would be to have the Trinity DJ version with it too, I know its not his best work, but a three fold reggae album would be awesome

Wow this is impressive. How did you get permission from Virgin to release this? This album is my favorite MD album. sweet Lady is one of my most favoritest reggae songs

Heh, I'd imagine that he just emailed Virgin and asked them how much it would cost to license the album for a CD release.

Probably not that much really, all things considered - as Virgin themselves don't appear to be interested in doing anything with the album...

Great choice Mellowman. I'm looking forward to this. Any chance you would consider another Virgin album in the future? Gladiators - Naturality .This was never reissued since it's first release.

thanks

@kalcidis

This one: [cover=751,877]

I love Trinity (my 2nd fav DJ), but for some reasons he just doesn't sound that good on this album, not sure if he was really stoned or just not into this album or just having an off day, but still it is a cool idea to have vocal album, dub album, DJ album

I couldn't agree more, that is an awesome track, there are quite a few classic tracks on the album, planet earth itself is a killer tune
