Enjoy and have fun and Rock Steady with Flo & Eddie

Post by Bellyman »

I must admit that I haven't listened to this album for decades (it's from 1981) but maybe the weather in old Europe dragged me to some weird sunshine moods.
Anyway, this is great great funtime music!
I am totally vexed that this is not featured on RA or any other reggae archive, all music played by the great Soul Syndicate, every song a true classic and hey, Flo and Eddie, okay, but they sure know how to sing harmonies.
What a pleasant and great surprise.
Tracks:
Prisoner of Love
Swing and Dine
Stop
Moving Away
Pearl
Dancing Mood
Party Time
Sitting in the Park
Rock with Me
Those Guys
Just like a River
Happy Together (offcourse :))

music by
Chinna Smith
Augustus Pablo
Leslie Butler
Aston Barrett
Santa Davis
Sticky

Epiphany Records EPLP 4010
EP 30006 (CD release)

Now Rodigan, take over ;)
rougher yet

Ya that is an interesting album for sure. Of course the music is top notch considering the line up and material. IMO the vocals leave something to be desired. I'm a fan of Flo & Eddy's work with Zappa, and the Turtles- their [Battle of the Bands](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Turtle ... _the_Bands) LP was a fantastic concept in '68. I would've loved to hear Soul Syndicate do ["You Showed Me"](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANPGyzmgvk4)!
