Tony Brown - Inflation

Post by ghelmer »

I'm looking for more infos on this artist.
Did he record others killer like this inflation tune ?

I'm looking for a 7" copy of Inflation, is it very hard to find ?
Is it available on a LP ?

If someone has a copy to sell or swap, drop me a PM, I have equivalent killers to swap with

Thanks

Tony Brown has one more 7" for Coxsone Dodd, 'Give my broken heart' and another one 'What's going on' (probably a cover of Marvin Gaye's classic) of which I don't know the producer.
Never seen these on any compilation and don't know an album by this artist.
As far as I understand Tony Brown is/was an english artist who voiced-over some original rhythms.

Hmm three tunes for studio one, nice Studio one collectors/sellectors know him. Voice is different from my Tony Brown. Guess first and last name are common :)

these arent Studio One recordings

all produced by a L. Crossdale and as the band ( Drum Bago & the Rebels), the sound and the 'London' label indicate: all UK recorded, but pressed and released by Coxsone in Jamaica.

compare with those Jackie Mittoo (canada & UK), King sporty (US) and tony Gregory (US) etc. productions released on Brentford road printed labels..
