All,
Let's give CREATIVE ideas to our re-issue label friends. Here is my suggestion: if the idea gets executed, the label sends 2 FREE copies to the person who came up with it (1 for listening, 1 for framing).
I'll start:
> Bob Marley Catch A Fire LP, non overdubbed mix, red, gold & green zippo cover
> Silk screen cover re-issues of the best STUDIO ONE LPs
> 100 Studio one 12" box (for 999 $)
> Re-issue RAM-A-DAM with this incredible cover, and include a 12" discomix of an unreleased or rare track on top for first 1000 buyers

> Re-issue entire Bob Marley Island catalogue, in all formats, giving ALL profits to poor & needy Africans (bring to life the rastaman dream)

Great idea! But I don't see the point of reissuing Ram-A-Dam. The only track unique for the set was recently released as 7" by Pressure Sounds and the rest of the album is more or less Conquering Lion which is almost always available.
But yeah. Cool cover art indeed. That price is bonkers! I was given my copy from a friend.

Could they reissue some classic Bob Marley or King Tubby on vinyl with some of the guy's ashes mixed in with the wax?
To finally make a metaphor literal, I mean?

Flabba said in an interview this album was recorded from the old good days.So i thought about the late 70's or early 80's.gbougard wrote:the D Brown produced by Flabba is not that badass, quite frankly

Some others ideas :
-Brigadier Jerry - the second album recorded with the 12 tribes members recorded in the late 70's(first one was "Freedom Street" released in 1995).
-Jah Warrior "Dub From Heart" lp(The best Dub Album from UK) + some others productions from the vol.2 + some others tracks like "Millenium Dub","Just A Little Herb Dub","Dub From Africa" ,"Deliverance Dub" ect ...

make all the vinyl only releases and rereleases available as high quality downloads. not willing to pay for mp3, but wav or flac would be nice.

Re: Re-issue CREATIVE ideas
I'm not sure how feasible it is, but I'm investigating the possibility of making some high resolition downloads available, 24/96 transferred from the master tapes. There are lots of hurdles, but if we can make it happen we will.nofoo wrote:make all the vinyl only releases and rereleases available as high quality downloads. not willing to pay for mp3, but wav or flac would be nice.
