Sam Cooke- Love me (party time rhythm)

Post by DWick »

Can someone please enlighten me about this tune. I found it on Youtube some time ago and would like to know if Sam actually sang over this rhythm or if this is a work of internet magic. Any additional info is much appreciated.

Sam passed away before "Party Time" was recorded, so unless he had a time machine.....

a number of these came out on 7" and LP a few yrs ago - but I think this Sam Cooke one was done especially well -suitable in a way because Sam was very popular in the Caribbean! - The LP was called "studio one blvd. remixes" and came from "the remix collective" out of NY -also had Elvis Presley doing "in the ghetto" .....

Thanks all. That sounds like an interesting listen, Jayb. I'll keep my eyes open for that LP.
