Imagine RIGHT TIME tracks produced by Perry, in a similar vein to Heptones Party Time!!!!! WOW
Gotcha, I see your point, sorry I was feeling a bit grumpy about my job the other day. , It would have been good if they had recroded more at Black Ark your right.

I think the mighty diamonds suffered by Virgin trying to make them apppeal to the mainstream.

That said I do like this album, there are some really strong tracks in Planet earth, sweet lady, let the answer be yes and only brother are all amazing tracks

Based on Mr Cop I always wish grergory Isaacs did a whole album at black ark

Earlier in this thread someone asked about the two albums Jah Lloyd did for Virgin. I can only speak about "The Humble One", but it's killer. Really heavy Joe Gibbs rockers, heavy '77/'78 vibes. Recognize some rhythms from Morwells and others. Real nice mix, too. I assume ET, very active on the board for this. Can't speak to the Virgin edition, but if it's the same mix as the State Line JA release, it's well heavy. Someone put each tune separately on YouTube, can check them all there.

Changes and the corresponding dub are definitely two underrated sets. Long time since I played either though.

I think that MellowMan said previously that his label doesn't get the digital rights.

that's too bad, because digital sales are about 50% of total sales on some markets like the USA, or so I hear...

That may explain why the rights holders prefer to hang onto the possibility of digital distribution themselves, or at least want a buttload more money for it...

MellowMan-

I know several people have asked for it on this thread--do you know if Naturality is slated for release or being considered? I'd buy it and hand extra copies to friends--might be worth considering. Also, I know the general opinion is that "The Gladiators" (1980) is crap but I own the LP and actually quite enjoy it. Any chance Hot Milk could combine Naturality with the Gladiators like Heartbeat did with their CD "Whole Heap"?

Also, purchased Planet Earth based off the info from your post. Have heard it before (and already own Planet Mars) but am excited that it's finally being re-released! Thanks for continuing to re-release 70s reggae!

I'm quite surprised that no-one has released the Mighty Diamond's 'Stand Up To Your Judgment' on CD yet, for what it's worth...

(as far as I'm aware, anyway)
