Slim Smith for his raw passion and playful energy. He sang without restraint, resulting in a remarkable level of variance and nuance. He didn't have the biggest range, he missed some notes, but what sets him apart from almost every other singer was his ability to use every vocal and delivery technique possible.

Absolutely tragic that he died at 25. I'd sacrifice a lot to give him a few more years of music.
