yes, not referring to the country specifically, just to people from the region..... primarily Lebanese and Syrian immigrants, typically Christians and Jews from the Ottoman ruled Middle East escaping persecution.

I dont know what u mean by young spirit, but i was born rasta and get disappointed when we dont get the credit where it is due....

Your knowledge on rasta, reggae and JA (and JAH) is probably limited to the books you read, whereas some of us are actually in the livity not for a joke or gimmicks you understand?

This no argument, just truth and facts.
I come across ones like these many a times. Ones who love reggae, love ganja, love jamaica, but when it comes to Rastafari, Selassie I, people start to show their true colours and show they dont got no love for rasta, even though rasta is the only ones who really have kept black african culture alive in jamaica specifically, over the decades.
So why people are fighting down rasta i dont know...???
If you love reggae, must love rasta because the two is too closely linked for the simple reason that this music created by RASTA....

I donnot fight Rasta but will fight ignorance and you do not represent Rasta but you represent ignorance. Rasta people are far more wise at least the ones that I have talked too. I wanted an adult conversation but it isnt possible tell me why. The whole rasta believe is based on a book. And you talk about knowledge from books bla bla bla bla . You may fool tourists with your act and your statements but I cannot believe you are Rasta with things you are saying and how you are talking and not listening. Rasta way of life is NOT based on a book as you claim. Rasta is ancient concept, passed down thru generations - yes i agree some books (you are talking about bible, right? ) inform and guide ones in rasta livity, because rasta is an always evolving way of life too...

Now, going back to reggae and rasta, i can say one important point:
Reggae music was created predominantly by rasta. Rasta did not ADOPT reggae. More true to say that reggae adopted rasta...
