Dub LP's have a certain flair to them. Nowadays I probably buy more dub than anything else when it comes to LP's. I feel that dub is like one of the last mysterious sides when it comes to reggae record collecting. Every now and then there's a new and unheard of dub album from the 70's/80's that pops up.
Could never afford the likes of original copies of Java Java Java or Aquarious. But I've managed to find some very nice dub albums none the less. Still there's a lot I would love to have.
What album would you want if you could get it

"Like A Bolt" is the same as "Presenting The Fabulous John Holt" on the UK Magnet label.blakbeltjonez wrote:kalcidis wrote :96 Degrees In The Shade is quite easily found ... cheap too! As is Big Youth.
i was going to say, hardly the rarest pair.... Third World records can be had by the truckload still.
i wouldn't mind a first pressing of "Aquarius Dub", if we are talking about truly rare. as far as something a little more common, i would really like to have a decent copy of John Holt "Like A Bolt" LP on Treasure Isle or the "Up Park Camp" LP on Channel One, but they keep eluding me, especially for a reasonable cost.
Also rare, but if you find one, it will be cheap.
Great record by the way. I'm no Holt-expert, but this is my fave LP of him so far.

that magnet label issue is certainly the way to go if you can find it - much better sound quality than the average treasure isle repress - in fact may even be a different mix
