The New Midnite/I-Grade albums hit the shelves recently.
Let Live
Fantastic album with Midnite on fine form, highly recommended - sound clips (check 'All my life')at www.Igraderecords.com
Full Cup
This one is a little different with an experemental, almost ambient sound. Minimalist beats coupled with furious chanting combine to create a sound which may not be for all tastes. Try before you buy.

Re: New Midnite/I-Grade releases
I only heard of Midnite yesterday. And I was amazed!
Don't know much about them still. Are they German, French, American? I can't really tell.

Such a shame that the material from this band is unavailable in the UK. I have to order online from a US reggae provider (a great site, ebreggae.com - the music arrives in 3 days). Hopefully the Midnite band will get some recognition in Europe soon and they will come to tour here. Surely the best modern roots band around. Check albums like Unpolished, He Is Jah, Aincent Maps, Assini, Ras Mek Peace. Stone heavy and absolutely unmissable. If anyone has some un-licenced live recordings of the band please let me know at rizlarich@yahoo.com.

Re: New Midnite/I-Grade releases
I too only discovered Midnite/I-Grade recently. Dezerie, also a member of the I-Grade 'family', is amazing. I see St. Croix offers up many reggae acts, some I've heard, some not. Those I have heard are all quite good. It seems St. Croix is a happening place for heavybeat reggae at the moment.

I looked locally for the cd's of a few lesser known artists on this website I wanted to check out, but couldn't find much of anything.

Ras Mek Peace is my favourite album by Midnight. Midnight is the heaviest band touring, other than The Wailers. Modern roots reggae has improved with the likes of Groundation and Congregation. Visit http://www.congregationband.com/ ... You will be quite pleased. Enjoy.

I'v seen midnite now 3 times . I traveld to boulder clorado. To see them.also I saw them in cambridge mass. And I live in ny. Saw them hear once. Midnite is the air I breath . And I thank mr.vaughn benjamin for his love and honesty. And if I could I would catch every show. Peace and blessings.
