TR Groovemaster discography

Post by Roots Archives »

As most of you know, Jason (known as JJ) has done a great job with his Tony Robinson discography on his blog [JJ’s Down Jamaica Way](http://jjsreggaereviews.blogspot.co.uk/ ... raphy.html).

With his consent, I have given it a bit more of a visual approach and tried to give it a bit more detail, listing b-sides and catalogue numbers.

My version of JJ’s discography will be up soon at [trgoovemaster.smokeyroom.net](http://trgroovemaster.smokeyroom.net) but before I ‘open it up’ for the public I was hoping to get some more information about certain releases in order to make it as complete as possible.

Clicking the above link will send you to a page with releases that needs some double checking. If you have any information or provide me with a proper label scan (or photo) you can send your info to info@smokeyroom.net or just leave it in the comments.

The page is very basic for now, as I said the complete site will be up soon-ish. :)

By the way, this list is about 7 inches only. I will post a list for 12 inches as well.

I have a 7" single titled Jennie My Love on the Earthquake label. It just list Prince Toney, not sure if it's Tony Robinson but I didn't see it on the list.

Here is a link to a listing of it on Discogs.

wow, this is really great work, and very well made and very useful
Now I know what I need to complete my collection on that label, one of my favorite reggae labels
thank you

edit: I never realized how much Barrington Spence recorded for Prince Tony. Good songs at that.

Thanks for that JP. I've listed both the Earthquake and the Star Disc release as possible Prince Tony productions. I must say, I'm not too sure myself. ;)
And yes meeuwis (first name Guus?). I will still have a proper look through Andre's website as well. ;)

Seems that discography is missing a section on Diesel Concrete Mixers & I also can't seem to see the Twin Shaft Mixers either??

Needs some revision!
