Re: Peter Tosh "Legalize It" Deluxe Version (track info)
Been playing these 2 CD`s again today and although I still think "Equal Rights" is the better of the two the "Legalise It" was not as repetitive as I found it to be when I first played it.
Also like to add that these are two of the best packaged CD`s that I had bought in a long time, I certainly haven`t bought anything that compares in the last year or so.
Beautiful gatefold sleeves with excellent liner notes which shows what quality can be achieved in reissueing music.
I really had forgotten just how good are these 2 CD`s.

Yes the liner notes are very interesting. For example: Peter dropped than-president Michael Manley's name at the end of the original version of the title track and he says the n-word in Get up stand up. Both were cut, not suprisingly.
By the way (a little off topic) does anyone know who played drum and bass on the original "Vampires"? Sly and Robbie? The hihat almost plays exactly along with the bassline. Incredible. It's not the typical Carly Barrett sound. So who knows for sure if it's Sly.

Yes, the original Vampire features Sly & Robbie.
This according to the excellent "Bob Marley & The Wailers - The Definitive Discography" by Roger Steffens and Leroy Jodie Pierson.
