Last week I bought a 7" UK issue of a Fred Hughes soul track called Ooh Wee Baby (Baby I Love You) thinking this must be the original of the Alton Ellis Treasure Isle track, but it wasn't, then played the other side called My Heart Cries Oh, which turned out to be the original of the Vic Taylor Treasure Isle track Heartaches. One of those weird coincidences.
So it's My Heart Cries Oh that's mostly on the turntable at the moment.

Wynn Stone - Love Attack (clintones 12")
Exceedingly happy to have picked this up recently after keeping an eye out for a couple years. Steppers disco that wastes no time getting right down to the heart of the matter.

Yes, love Otis, always struck by how much he sounds like Toots (or the other way around).

Hi kalcidis, I'm searching for this LP for quite some time now. Is it worth the high price?kalcidis wrote:Ossie Hibbert - Crueshal Dub (Earthquake LP)

Currently a not so current but great anyway mix CD by Shy FX/Digital Soundboy/Roots Manuva called Summer Slam, incredible mash-up of hip-hop, house, reggae, ragga, dubstep, drum and bass and ending up with Message to You Rudy (Specials version). Been playing it on and off for a couple of years and never tire of it.

Errol Dunkley - Love is a Wonderful Thing (12" on youtube)
I can't get over what an astounding tune this is. Errol in a lovers vibe backed by members of Black Slate (as the North Londoners) and mixed down by Errol T at Joe Gibbs. Credit due to Roddy Moodie for arranging the session. This monster was originally issued as a Port 12" and reissued as a 7" without dub (why why why!?).
