Greetings,
A similar topic is posted on "another" forum, but I'm curious to pose this slightly different question to the RA community: what dub treasures would you most like to see as a quality re-issue in 2014?
I suppose criteria should consider commercial viability etc., but what the hell, what would YOU love to see?
My top picks:
1) Black Jade- Contempo
2) Ethnic Fight Band- Out of One Man Comes Many Dubs
3) Selassie I Rockers- 30 Pieces of Dub
4) Clive Hunt- Orthodox Dub
5)Aggrovators/Revolutionaries- Guerilla Dub
6) Scientist- Rids the World of Evil Vampires (I know it's been reissued several times but supply/demand calls for a new Greensleeves run!)

Bobbo: don't know much about the Contempo LP either, but listened to it on youtube many times. One of the deepest, heaviest dub efforts I've heard. Slow, plodding bass lines...heavier than lead!
Also interesting if you consider it in its context as a 1975 UK release, seems to be a real "groundbreaker" literally and figuratively.

Slugger
Thanks for the link
That Black Jade is brilliant, I have never heard of this one at all.
It makes me wonder how many other great dub albums I have completely missed.

Re: Dub Reissues 2014
While I do know and own this terrific record I don't know anything about it. Liner notes on the cover reveal almost nothing. It only says:
"All tracks written, arranged and produced by Black Jade.
Recorded and mixed at the Jade Studio.
Recording Engineer: Fritz Jackson
Final mix by Black Jade"
That's all.
Can anybody provide more infos?
Members of Black Jade? And who is Fritz Jackson?

Dub
Ranking Dread in Dub was reissued not too many years ago. I'm quite certain copies are still around for a fair price. If not I still have a spare somewhere.
Contempo by Black Jade is incredible. As is the vocal LP which seems even scarcer (one I do not have but very willing to trade for).
