I always thought making the star with your hands was the star of david sign. So 2 triangles and not 3.
Jah Jah indeh just means, JAH is in there, so like God is present.

Re: WHAT DO THE FOLLOWING PHRASES MEAN - Clarks Booty
Just to confirm it, here's a whole book about Clark's boots in Jamaica:
http://www.onelovebooks.com/
Clarks in Jamaica
Clarks in Jamaica by Al Fingers documents the phenomenal popularity of Clarks shoes in Jamaica, from their arrival in the Caribbean one hundred years ago to their adoption as the Rasta and rudeboy shoe of choice in the years following independence. Particular focus is on the Jamaican musicians and producers who have worn and sung about Clarks over the years, such as Trinity, Little John, Vybz Kartel, Half Pint, Michael Prophet and many more. In the words of producer Bunny "Striker" Lee: "From ever since, Clarks is a number one shoe inna Jamaica. Not just now, I’m talking from the 1950s come right up. Clarks stand the test of time inna Jamaica. All the other shoes come and bow right down at Clarks’ foot." Featuring new photographs by Mark Read and archival material from Beth Lesser, Dave Hendley and others.

Re: WHAT DO THE FOLLOWING PHRASES MEAN
the phrase is "lick wood means rewind" - in JA, to "lick wood" is to slap your hand on the stage, wall, whatever... an old saying from the early days of dances when venues had wood stages.tingjunkie wrote:No problem Roddy, I was just curious.
"Lick it" (not liquid) means the selector plays a tune. If the crowd makes gunshot noises, they are showing their approval of the tune, and the selector will usually rewind and start the tune over from the beginning.
