It looks like two classic songs : 'I love marijuana' from Linval Thompson seems to be the second one; the first one sounds like 'satta massa gana', there are a lot of versions. the original one is from the Abyssinians, another very famous version is Third World's

On the first track: could it be Satta Massagana
by the Abyssinians.

There is a land far, far away
Where there's no night, there's only day

Don't remember the second track, guess I smoked too much marihuana!

Satta Massagana

Is there anyway to get a hold of the recording of the actual yard/nyahbinghi performance of this song which opens the film Rockers?

For the second one I would also say that it is Linval Thompson's 'I love Marijuana' (www.roots-archives.com/Release/326).
But for the first song I do not agree on Abyssinians. I'd rather it's Ricky Grant's 'Far far away' done for Augustus Pablo with a nice version to it too.

another one that goes "far far away there is my land" is Ricky Grants "Far Far Away" from the album "Poverty People", its also reissued as 7" on "Rockers" label I think. I like that tune, sweet dub version. http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2054

Hello mate.
i think the second track must be INTERNATIONAL FARMER from PETER BROGGS

International Farmer

I am an international farmer,
Cultivating my good sensimilla.
I am an international farmer,
Cultivating my good sensimilla.

My cultivation is away in the woodland,
And you should see my irie calli tree,
How they beautifully grow.

And when my sensimilla get ripe,
You can smell the sweet fragrance.
And when I smoke it up man,
It gives me a good meditation,
It give me a good inspiration,
For I to sing my song to the nation.

I am an international farmer,
Cultivating my good sensimilla.
I am an international farmer,
Cultivating my good sensimilla.

And when my sensimilla get ripe,
You can smell the sweet fragrance.
And when I smoke it up man,
It gives me a good meditation,
Yes, it give me a good inspiration,
For I to sing my song to the nation.

No track too is, linval Thompson definatley, going by the words u gavce us and track one looked like Abbyssinians Satta Massa ganna but could be the ricky grant one also, u would need to give us more words.
The Satta Massa Ganna from the opening to the film rockers, yeh im sure i can get it, i think i have it somewhere, but that riddim is so widely used and get splayed on the bongos all the time, the one u want is bongo Hermans version i thin, even though he talks throught it! im pretty sure he did release it or i have it on a tape labelled as him anyway. Sure is a nice bit of drumming on that film, i just use software to make the audio off the film into an MP3........
