I have always favored the Roots Radics band, but I actually think the best backing job I have ever heard is UNDIVIDED ROOTS on the Vivian Jones Bank Robbery lp. As far as I know this is the only lp they ever did backing for. Does anyone know if they did backing for any other albums?

Roots Radics '80-'83 with Scientist at the controls. Let's throw in Augustus Pablo on Melodica just for fun.

Roots Radics seems to be the one!
Same for me:
#1: the combination Roots Radics + Scientist is my fav. Plenty of killer riddims done for Junjo.
#2: Revolutionaries. Channel One's rockers style being one of my fav reggae.
#3: there are a few I think about. Actualy I think about the pre 74/5 stuffs from Randy's with Errol Thompson at the mixing board. Mostly Soul Syndicate at the control (even if they were called Impact All Stars), but also the Upsetters (I love this pre Black Ark material).

I HAVE SEEN THE RUFF CUTT BAND LAST MONTH, SOME OF THEM ARE OLD MEMBERS OF UNDIVIDED ROOTS.
THEY BACKED BURO BANTON/TRISTAN PALMER/TAPPA ZUKIE/LINVAL THOMPSON.
YOU CAN IMAGINE I HAD THE TIM OF MY LIFE!
I CANNOT FIND THE CD UNDIVIDED ROOTS (ISLAND RECORDS 1990). I HAVE ONLY 'HANDS & HEART - TOGETHER' BUT THIS ONE IS NOT SPECTACULAR..

@Jah Rumble
Undivided Roots did not only backing, they made one album by themselves, called either 'Ultimate Experience' or 'Undivided Roots' which depends on what release you can get. The first is on the Entente label (distributed via Ruff Cutt) the second came on Island Records. Though this record is from 1987 it is only very mildly digital and features good english-based reggae in a dry and soulful style. No wonder if you know 'Bubbles' Ogilvie

One of the tightest bands ever. Maybe the finest horn section of any genre.
Coxsone the greatest producer? NO.
K in Canada.
P.S. Was that someone named rootsman asking who the Aggrovators are???
