Mark/Rootsman Wow that's a fantastic tracklist, shame it's not still available. Was Guiding Light originally released on 12" or is this an edited 7" ?

I believe that most, if not all, the tracks are from 12" vinyl Disco`s 45`s. If not then the reediting is seemless.

I know the guy who did the 24bit remastering for this CD release. Unfortunately the company, Eastern Star, did not acquire the rights to release the tracks so the project got shelved.

As far as I know the few CD`s that got printed up ready for release were just given away which is how I got mine a few years back.

Apparently the lost Linval Thompson dub LP that Hot Milk re-issued will come on vinyl in April

Dave Barker from Dave & Ansel Collins has a single out in May with Dublin band, Supertonic Sound Club. Here's a live version of the track, recorded for Mark Lamarr's show on BBC Radio 2.

Its is but is spoilt by the inclusion of several later digital recordings.

The digital tracks are not bad but don`t really sit well along side the earlier 70`s tracks.

What would have made a great CD would have been to have "Man of the Ghetto" and "Ranking Ghetto Style" on one CD. I have ripped both these albums to a single disc and they flow superbly well.

It looks like Jammyland is reissuing some Wackies material that wasn't included in the Basic Channel series. Nothing on their website so far but they are selling Fabian Cooke - That's Not All 12" on discogs:

Original stampers used but that doesn't necessarily mean good fidelity. Can anyone comment on this one?
