This man was studio mixer during the dancehall days of the early to mid eighties.

Was not in the same laegue as Scientist but has a few good albums to his name.

Do a search on this forum under his name and will list the albums that are credited to his skills.

I've always regarded Soljie very highly. Unfortunately he never released as much material as the Scientist. A pity for Soljie and Chemist who both were quite incredible mixers (Chemist often even better than Scientist in my opinion).

If memerory serves, Soljie was famous for being the mixer of plenty Sly & Robbie's Taxi production from early 80's. A very good mixer.

He got his name cause he was in the army.

wasnt soljie initially known by the handle "rebel soldier"..the great john peel played FIRE CALL by rebel soldier in 1981 0n his show..very good dub
