King Tubby versus Channel One

Hi,

I`ve been reading what the man Sean has posted on this site regarding the above album.

His opinion, which he is entitled to, is that it is total crap and one of the worst dub albums that he has ever heard.

I used to have this on album many years ago, and now on CD, and my opinion is the complete opposite. I find it a nice dub album with intro`s by Crucial Bunny that imo do not detract from the music.

The question is, What do you guys think of this album ?

This is not a case of proving either one of us right or wrong, but is just another example of how our preferences and tastes towards the music we enjoy can vary so much.

Personally, I think this is a good thing as I believe the music would become stale very quickly if we all shared the same tastes.

What do you guys think.

I have this album (I haven't heard the CD version) and think it's top draw. Definitely one of my favourite dub albums.

thanks for your opinions guys..perhaps it is me who has poor taste!!! but it is interesting how peoples tastes differ on such issues..

yeah, you see, i feel theres some great dub that features vocal intros, eg on scientist vs jammy on greensleeves...."introducing to the world..on my right scientis' the dub chemist..and on my left prince jammy the dub specialist..round one"..amazing stuff..but the bunny lee thing, which rhino seem so keen on...i just cant believe how totally it destroys my appetite for the album
