Re: black uhuru
the group was formed about 1977. the members were don carlos, garth dennis, duckie simpson. it took not very long and the group split and from then the group went through many different line ups for example, michael rose as lead singer and after michael rose left junior reid joined in...
after junior reid left, don carlos and garth dennis came back to join duckie simpson. I guess this was about 1988 till late 1994...The San Diego concert was recorded 1993

Dem have several: in the original line up:
Tear It Up, island. There is a cd Live 84 on Tabou 1. There is live 88 in NYC , i believe on sonic sounds and there Dubbing it Live which was released 2006, this is the new lineup with sly an robbie and the return of mikal rose as they toured round di world in 2004-5, so it sounds like tear it up!

To clarify the above: "Dubbing it live" DVD was released 2006, but is from a concert recorded around 2001 in Swithzerland, with Andrew Bees on lead vocal.
Live 84 released on Tabou, is with Michael Rose on lead vocal, but actually recorded 1981 in Essen, Germany.
Live in NYC is on Rohit, with Junior Reid on lead vocal, from 1988.
Tear it Up was recorded in London 1981 about 2 months earlier before the Essen/Tabou album.
iTunes has another live album for download purchase, an excellent recording form Chicago 1984 with Michael Rose on lead vocal, entitled "Greatest Hits Live with Sly & Robbie". Very recommended!
There is also a very HTF album "Babylon One Way" Clinton 7911 which is in part an inferior version of the aforementioned iTunes album - fewer tracks and bad sound, BUT oddly ending with 3 tracks with Junior Reid on lead vocal, probably recorded in Portland 1985.
I know of no further official live albums with the Carlos/Dennis/Simpson lineup.
