I've noticed alot of backtalk/argument style going on in the forum lately. Opinions are becoming ultimates, sarcasm, child games I see.
Alot of advertising as well. Quote "legitimate" and otherwise.
This latest display involving a man and his roots/cdee collection is blatant disrespectful and should have been removed immediately.
INI would like to see things stay on topic and not stray away. Times like this make it hard to keep coming back when you have to sort through nonsense to receive the message.

Re: Recent- Activities on Roots-Archives.
I see nothing has changed again today! 4 or more posts dedicated to a dead subject. Granted, format should have been specified from the begining by seller, but to continue on and on and on about this subject is ridiculous.
Also, off topic posts/advertisements/XXX even!
People selling 'air' on vinyl?!
And people are replying??!!!
The hardest thing to beleive is that members I respected that have taught me so much are becoming involved in these discussions.
Memebers are responding to these forums as if they were legitimate and they themselves were interested.
The Roots-Archive has gone downhill fast!!!

Re: Recent- Activities on Roots-Archives.
hey, chill man, we are not at nasa forum too ok? We can joke sometimes, we are HUMANS, right?
The guy who propose to buy "air" give a sarcasm to the one who propose to sell mp3's on cd, i had answer to his air proposition just for laugh more about the first guy k?
You want a cop medal or something??
If not i agree too about some inutile psots about "the best album from 82" "the best from 76" etc etc, it sound kiddy and make the forum less interresting, i wish than we will not see all dates for the best albums lol
Peace

Re: Recent- Activities on Roots-Archives.
So, what can solve these problems ?
Should the administrators delete messages which announce the sale of collections (the hardest way to do it) ?
Is an extra-forum for sellers/buyers the solution (then we have a kind of e-bay in here and I don't really like that idea) ?
The reggae forum has its regulations (see 'read before posting- STICKY') but I agree that in the last weeks, if not months, more and more people seem to simply ignore the rules. A lot of RESPECT has gone down the drain between the participants, and that is the main point that makes me personally sad.
Matthew you are right, the downhill slide has started already, but I think it can be stopped.
But there has to be some action coming from all members of Roots Archives. We have now nearly 600 subscribers to the forum and there's only some very few who disobey the rules.
Let all of us who really appreciate this site stand together and just stop the ignorant, egotistic and annoying.
Greetings and Big Up Roots Archives
(because the guys who do all the work deserve this !)

Seems folly but whatever...have we not learned anything from this music inspired by the works of the father?!

Yes, an issue to some.
Some posters come in asking but not searching, then get ones who help get their head cut off by poster and deemed rude? Whatever. That's the perplexing nature of the internet. Pure folly for sure.

This thread was posted in the off-topic section of this forum. Though I think it makes more sence to put it on here for everybody to read.
