Rarest Of The Rare...

Post by CourtneyBeat »

As you have probably already seen in my previous thread entitled "Looking For These Albums", I have narrowed down my list to what I consider to be the "Rarest Of The Rare" when it comes to Dub/Instrumental Reggae. However, I was wondering if there are things that I am missing from that list (look down the thread list a little to see it...) for one reason or another. I have really scoured the resources available in putting it together, and every time I think I have heard of everything, something else comes up (for instance the Sir Collins Pre Release Lp I recently acquired that I had no idea existed).

So, fellow collectors and fans of Dub in general, please tell me what else is out there if anything! And, if anybody has anything on my list or NOT on my list, please let me know, also, as it would be greatly appreciated!

I am editing this to include the list:

Boris Gardner - Ultra Super Dub 1 & 2
Dub Off Har Blouse & Skirt Vol 3
Edi Fitzroy Meets Roots Radics @ Channel One
Richie Mac - Jah Is I Light Dub
Now Generation in Dub
Dirty Harry & The All Stars (frelimo instrumental LP)
Aquarius Dub Volumes 2 & 3
Lovers Dub (venture)

Thanks for looking
All The Best,
Michael Anthony

The Rubble Dub LP is a $10 album and not that interesting if I remember correctly. Never owned it but listened to at a local store that wanted €15 for it and I remember not picking it up because I wasn't that impressed by it.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned and you probably already know of it:

Yeah, thanks!
I have the audio for everything on that site except for one or two. It has been a source of inspiration for my endeavors :)

Pt. 3 isn't that rare as you say. It pops up a few times every year ... but it's expensive. Been outbid on it every time.

Yes, that's the same issue I have had in the past. It does pop up but always ends up out of my range at the moment monetarily!

It seems like vol. 2 (aka "Sentimental Dub") might be the rarest of that Germain lot. I have vol. 1 and 3 but the the apparently mislabeled second volume seems the scarcest...maybe you already have that one?
