But what is your opinion on instrumenal reggae ?
Jazzy or soapy whatever the way.
Ska, Rock Steady, Early Reggae or Roots...

Hi Bellyman,

Being a massive jazz fan as well as reggae fan, I love anything instrumental that is good.

I think there is no greater sound than listening to a drum, bass, guitar, piano, saxaphone,trumpet or trombone solo.

It is music that is played by true musicians using real instruments. It is music that comes from within the soul and played from the heart. It is spontanious, improvised and has an artistry that can never be equalled.

What digital or computer generated music can ever compete with that.

- Brass Rockers (Tommy McCook and Tubby)
- Collectors Series (Dean Fraser)
thought this album is not the 70's-80's style but mid 90's.

"Revolutionary Sounds" from the Revolutionaries is one of my favorite instrumental albums. (With the Che cover)

It's not dubbed out, you hear all the instruments playing together as one..Most (if not all) songs feature the horn section playing melodies over the riddim. Ruff ruff stuff!
