Arguably one of the most underated singer in the eighties. I have an opportunity to get only one of his copies and was wondering which is worth listening too.
The Favourite

Re: ROBERT FFRENCH
They are both similar in sound. The both employ a synth drum. The Favourite is better. Acting Strange and Cut Eye Cut Eye being standout tracks.

'The Favourite' would be a wise choice. Also pick up Robert Ffrench 'Wondering' LP.

Not that Robert French Meets Anthony Johnson is a bad record. It's good. But Favourite is just slightly better.

Label is Parish, matrix is PR001, year of release is 1987 (that's why it's not in the Archives).

Re: ROBERT FFRENCH
you say that bellyman but ive seen lps listed from after 1985. for example:
http://www.roots-archives.com/label/384
and thats just a few that ive seen. i totally agree with keeping the years strict b/c of late 80's crap but you gotta make exceptions for certain lps like that skengdon selection you already have on here. i dunno just my opnion though.
