"ready or not" original composer

Post by benjamin »

Ites,
Just got the J. Osbourne 7' of that great song and was wandering if he is the original composer. Indeed we all know the Fugees version and I was curious to know if they took it from Johnny Osbourne or from some US soul singer for instance.
thanks

If I'm not mistaken its an old rhythm and blues/soul song from black america. Someone else know it?

The first group to sing this song was The Delfonics, a soul group from Philadelphia in the late 60s and early 70s. The title of the song is Ready Or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide From Love).
