I recently bought this LP and this particular release is not represented in the database here and there is not much clear info online about it. I wasn't sure after I bought it if it was the legendary original Sylvan Morris mix, or the 90's one that came out on Hearbeat.
I know the original was on PRE and had a different cover. This one is on Burning Spear, and maybe came out later? But is as far as I can tell, the original mix and not the later, weaker one.
In the RA database, Living Dub Vol. 1 is only represented by the Heartbeat CD, while the original Living Dub on PRE is listed without Volume # (as it was originally released). But for clarity, I think this release of the original mix should be added to the database. I was really confused by all the versions, and not seeing mine here at all was surprising.
So, if anyone runs into this one and is not sure if it's the original mix or not, it is. Great album too, by the way. Maybe it's not the original pressing, but it is the Sylvan Morris mix.
