arize, i think you're mistaken for michael campbel being mikeys real name. but hes also not to be confused with the michael campbell that engineered the aswad records.

Hi
Channel One on Maxfield Avenue closed in the 80's. But nowadays, the Hookim Bros are back to Kingston (uptown) where they have been building the new Channel One studio (they say they won't call it Channel 2)for more than a year now. The work is in process, though, no doubt about that. Should be ready early next year.
Ernest says they intend to revive all their labels and to become a new ledaing force in jamaican music. Let's wait and see...

aww if thats true of what ur saying there is a possability that "earth & stone" can come back i think that by the studio being closed down, i think that affected the reggae groups and maybe thats why some of them broke apart or they each went their own way i dont know my theory hehe.

jah bless.....

If Channel One re-open with the Hookim's, just imagine. Has the potential to be wicked. Sly, Robbie, Chinna etc...Really is mouth watering!:D
