I heard an amazing track on a podcast and cannot locate it anywhere.
The basic riddim sounds very similar to Toots' 5446 Was My Number, and the lyrical content was a back and forth conversation between the lead singer and the backups, something along the following:

It's gotta be "What Is It" by The Consummates. It's on the Soul Jazz Records compilation "Studio One Groups".
