KNOWLEDGE

Post by Criss Baker »

I'm interested in any info on Knowledge band as I have been listening to "Straight outta Trenchtown" and I love it. I've read the basic band bio etc.. but wondered if anyone knew of any of their rhythm tracks had been used as dub plates or dub/deejay releases. Particulary "Whats yours" can anyone help??

There is an excellent in-depth interview with singer Anthony Doyley by Peter I called "Trench Town Experience" available at
http://www.reggae-vibes.com/

click on the aricles link on the left side of the page. Then its under the Veteran Interviews section along with a whole slew of other great articles.

Hi

it is said that "What's yours" was recorded in Black Ark. Actually the original press is different than the repress, the DJing is much harder on orig press. I dont know about which one is released on MAKASOUND and the new Tapper Zukie release. I have an acetate of Whats Yours, but think that only Tapper's part is exclusive; I never heard of a real dubplate.
