somtimes we forget -

Post by glenn »

sometimes we forget how good some albums are. last night i dug out my Michael Prophet "Gunman" album. i can't remember the last time i played it. must of been back in the 1980's. excellent album.

any albums in your collection that you have not played in years, then suddenly it's never off the stereo ?

Two I dug out recently- Greatest Jamaican Beat (Treasure Isle compilation- great mixture of classic rock steady vocal and instrumental tracks) and Studio One Presents Jennifer Lara, beautiful album with old and new (well not so new now!) rhythms. There's also some I don't play much because I like them too much and don't want to scratch them up accidentally- how sad is that!

It's months rather than years since I played it, but when I span up 'Guncourt Dub' on the weekend I was once again amazed at how good this little known Dub Lp is.
